You do realise that pretty much the entire world accepts a degree of 'socialism'? Some 'capitalist' countries (eg France) are pretty damn socialist, others (eg UK under Tory governments) a bit less so. The ONLY political party that seems to demonize socialism is the GOP.
If the entire world is doing one thing (ie showing a bit of compassion for the non-wealthy), and the GOP is doing the exact opposite, it might just be time to think carefully about who is right.
