Wanted: android phone

Had a bad run lately with mobiles.
My trusty S6 now has the blue light of death, my huawei didn't survive a 30ft drop from the roof, so chugging along with a note 4.
If anyone has a S6/7/8 or something similar knocking about....!
Tired of trying on a well known auction site as there's too much schill bidding going on.

Have you looked at giffgaff refurbed? eg S10 £179-199 depending on overall condition. Been pleased with what we've had from them.

When the Pixel 7a drops in a couple of weeks the 6a should be cheap as chips. I think mine is great.

They do a p30 pro for £122, but the way things are going atm, dont fancy spunking a ton plus on something I'll probably drop down the toilet in a week!

I bought a cheapy Honor (dual sim, £160) a couple years ago and really liked it. I drowned it, got a similar honor phone and liked that. I smashed it so spent £300 on Samsung which I'm not impressed with. I'm almost looking forward to it breaking so I can buy another cheapy honor!

Are you back over here? If so, BackMarket and CDiscount are where I usually look to replace broken phones. No bidding - just find the one you want and buy in the condition you want! Works for me

For indestructibility, cheapness, and good-enough functionality I really rate the Xiaomi stuff. Limited bloaty apps. Certainly better than the better-known brands like Motorola etc in the same price bracket.

Found an old S4 lurking in a drawer.
With my recent history, possibly the most sensible choice.
OK, can't use most apps, means I actually get more done in a day!

I have got a S9+ winging it's way here, but it's the fete du jour/strike season atm so la poste is a bit slow atm.

That’s a blast from the past, those were the kind of phones that when you dropped them you had to check the floor was still in 1 piece.

Huawei with a dead screen. So hours of loading software etc
