I remember willing the Team Bike VF750 to their second place at Spa in 84... they made it by just a few seconds after having held a sizeable gap with half an hour or so to go. I could tell they had gearbox issues from the low revs out of the hairpin, and apparently the bike was stuck in one gear for the final few laps.
