Re: Sportsbike shop
Slight thread hijack, I'm going "daarn Saath" in July, Milton Keynes as the brother in law stays there. I'm getting let loose with a credit card and a pocket full of dreams. Sports bike shop at MK big enough or are the other branches bigger and better?

Re: Sportsbike shop
I was in the Boston branch and it was a bit like Argos .... very little on display, probably one example of each product then ask for your size and bloke goes in the back and gets it rather than rails and rails of kit in every possible size and style. I dont know if all branches are the same though

Re: Sportsbike shop
The one in Reading was the same. Don't expect a J&S style shop with loads of stuff on racks.

Re: Sportsbike shop
Also if there is anything specific you want order it to be at the store ready for you. Be a bit pants to get there and find the specific item you want isn't in stock.
I've only been to the Harlow one and it's not massive, although not small either, but most stuff is out the back.

Re: Sportsbike shop
The Leeds one has loads of stock out on racks, but also do the Argos thing. Mainly for helmets, they only have one of each type out on display.

Re: Sportsbike shop
Yes, order stuff in advance. Just to clarify, there's no obligation to actually buy it. I ordered an LS2 helmet to try at Harlow last week, because it's the only one from my shortlist that I hadn't tried elsewhere, but I ended up buying an Arai Quantic. I knew the Quantic fitted, so if they hadn't had it in stock it wouldn't have mattered. I could have bought it online later. I think you can reserve as many items as you like, though.Supermofo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 11:05 am Also if there is anything specific you want order it to be at the store ready for you.
