Yeah i could get my head around this... right up until

The bike’s powered by an 8 kW hub motor, with a 72 volt / 60 Ah battery. Early numbers point to a top speed of 127 km/h [79 mph], a 120 km [75 mile] range, and a five-hour charge time.

When I was little,Corn Flakes packets used to have cut out pics on the back,where you could fold them and make 3D images of your fave Thunderbird,etc.

That's where that bike stole it from,right?

I quite like it, as a commuter it makes sense, how much does it cost, how much does it weigh?

Looks quite good to me apart from the belly pan fairing; the range would be ok for local stuff and it might get to 80mph quite quickly.

Can't work out why the lid for the 'tank' storage seems to be solid & so thick?

I'm planning to try an electric off roader (no idea what type) over here in the summer as there's a company here that rents them for 'trails' on the mountain.
I really like the idea of a small leccy bike but I doubt it would be in my price range for a few years!!

Electrics are gradually looking better and better though. I'm still considering one, although not one that costs as much as this one will. I guess it'll need to be second hand.. and that's a little concerning!

8kw = 10.6 bhp.

79mph from less than 11 bhp on a sit up and beg bike?

Did they throw it off a cliff or something?

If they did they might improve it's looks. It looks like a kitchen appliance.

Leccy bikes are faster than their raw BHP or Torque figures would suggest. We're used to the 'mental calibration' of ICE engines...an 11bhp ICE engine only makes 11bhp at one engine speed, whereas a 11bhp leccy bike makes 11bhp essentially everywhere. You've always got either peak torque (at low speed) or peak power (as you get faster) available, there's not really a powerband.

Plus they probably had a racing snake set that speed :D
