It’s time

Post by Couchy »

With things under control in my head……it’s time to buy a motorsickle.

I don’t need one for any particular use but in no order and all occasional, commute, road rides, Trackday. Do I get an Africa twin an old favourite that does one and two great and tbh was a laugh on track, do I get a zx10r which would prob only be used for a couple trackdays a year or so I get a super naked that does all three, for that I’d prob go European although my bro loves his new gsxs1000 and he’s a similar pace to me. A V4 tuono or 1290sd do appeal.
Over to you lot

A V4 Tuono is the best sounding bike ever.

Although your brother is right the GSXS is brilliant Although I maybe biased :D For the money/ability it's hard to beat but they aren't as much of an event as a SD or V4

😂 That didn't take too long , It's just under 2 months since I picked the BM up!
Good luck with whatever you decide to get. The Africa twin sounds like a good shout to me as there's not a lot it can't do.

How often will you do a track day? If hardly ever, get another Africa Twin; or get a 1290 Adventure; that'll do 1 and 2, plus 3 will be a laugh for you.

The AT is currently favourite, I don’t see Trackdays as regular so could always hire or take the AT as it was a laugh.

Try a Triumph 1200 RS.
Still getting used to mine but it's like a different bike to the old 1050. Very light and fast with a cracking exhaust note.

For the last 6 months I've been looking at this (I guess the fact it's not sold should tell me something).

I think you should buy it, then sell it to me 3 weeks later for half what you paid for it.
