I keep on getting a hankering to buy ones as a project / potential track bike fro my old age.
What issues do they have - or are they so long in the tooth that they are best avoided.

As it is a Kawasaki , I realise that all the paint on the wheels and swing arm will have fallen off.

Not that helpful, but I had one years ago and loved it. Getting the hankering myself for another one. Do it, I say.

TBH nowt really, they're built like a tank, just look out for signs of ham fisted abuse.

I had an original P1, my favourite bike, bit of a heavy old bus but super stable. Glorious induction noise and mine had a Muzzy 4 in to 1. 1 tooth down on the front and it was massively quick. Watch out for dyne jet kits as the needles are really hard and wear the bit they slide through on the carbs.

Yeah - don’t know what Weeksy’s post was ... I am a member there but it still reveals nothing.
Most of the eBay / facebook marketplace stuff is plain nasty ....

Maybe the enthusiasm is waning ...
