The thing that I love about the van is days like today, ride, have fun, throw bikes in back and drive straight to the brewery for a pint or two. Don't have to think of plans or ideas.

What I liked about having a van was not necessarily needing to unload it all on a Sunday evening if you didn't feel up to it.

We always had enough food, clothes, stuff etc in our camper, to be able to just get in and go :)

Some boards on the roof bars and with that ladder you've got the perfect viewing platform.

Yeah would work in certain scenarios but very very few in honesty. The riding area is very rarely anywhere that near to the parking area.

Yup, the world has gone mad recently here on van prices - I paid £22.8k OTR inc VAT and ply for my brand new LWB 145PS Sport Trafic 18 months ago. I knew I got a great deal at the time but I've just gone back to the dealer I got mine from to ask, and if they could get one, it would now cost me £10k more than that from them... :wtf:

The price is what the price is... it's not unreasonable compared to others.

Blimey. I paid £4,000 for my 6 year old Jumbo Transit in 2011.

Isn't it though? My Vivavro is a year newer, only has 10k more miles and was £17k from the same garage. This seems an awful lot more for alloys and the colour (which is ghastly).

It's an auto which i like... plus a LWB and for me the Transit Custom has more leg space for 3 people and is a nicer place to be...

Don't get me wrong here... i don't see this being for another 3-4 years... but an Auto Transit i'm seeing as the ideal.

Had two of them, sold the last 68 plate one with 40k miles on for £15k plus vat lol. They’ve got the nicest interior of all the vans we’ve got but the 20 plate low vivaro drives better and does loads more to the gallon. We’ve got a nearly new boxer which is comfier and the bigger transit which is my favourite as the ride is superb. The custom are nice but too expensive now in latest trim. Oh and the auto is shit, I know two people with them and both are in the 20’s mpg wise, both came from manual customs which were same as yours mpg wise.

Yeah the mpg is a worry. I'm hoping by the time I get a new one, they'll resolve that.

LOL i'd have to wash it daily at the moment to keep it clean, last night was a dirt car-park, Sat and Sun will be the same. That said, i am washing it on the way home from MOT, but it'll be clean for hours rather than weeks.

Interior is muddy bikes day after day after day... Again, it get cleaned once a week...

Man with a van is using it as a van shocker! Brilliant to have something that you can just use and get on with your day in enjoying life to the full! Hope it continues to bring joy and delight to you and yours.

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.
