Upcoming board outage. 1-2 Dec 2023
Board will be going down for 15 mins at some stage, as and when @HiFi Kabin has a bit of spare time and can fit our upgrade to the latest PHP version in.
He'll close the board as usual, then do the upgrade.
I'll be throwing him a donation to his website from our forum funds.
Depending how it's done, you may lose your 'style'.... If you do, i'll put them back in the coming days, but make a note in here of what ones you want/need back.

The updating is complete without any issues. However the following styles have been removed as they have not been updated for a year or more and will cause problems.
Black
Digi
prosilver (the default style) Absolution and Orange_BBE are all updated and available for your use.

Is there any way to mark a thread which has been read? I used to able to tell at a glance if there were unread replies to a thread,as it was highlighted. That function seems to have gone.

I just use new posts, so you only see ones that have replies anyway.
What theme are you on ?

Re: Upcoming board outage. 1-2 Dec 2023
When I've read a thread and click on 'new posts',the read thread stays in the 'new posts'. It did that before too,but the read one wasn't highlighted,so you could see what had been read, now the threads are all the same.
I've tried the different skins,as the one I use to use has gone, but the only option I can find is to hover the mouse over the thread, then it tells me 'read or unread'.
Tain't no biggy,just thought I was missing a trick.

In the standard Theme the threads are grey without new posts and red if they have some.Skub wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 3:46 pm When I've read a thread and click on 'new posts',the read thread stays in the 'new posts'. I'm not keen on either... but you can only install what exists.

The black has the little quick links icon which follows you down the page,so you don't need to do anything as tiresome as scroll to the top of the page to access it.
That was one of the features I liked about the blue elegance skin. I don't think any of the others had that.

Now I'm stuck in Blackboard - can you delete it?
The buttons for User Control Panel and Quick Links doesn't work.

And the link to the first unread post works in new posts too which it didn't in the other styles.Skub wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 11:12 am The black has the little quick links icon which follows you down the page,so you don't need to do anything as tiresome as scroll to the top of the page to access it.
