I need to update the maps on my car which, rather quaintly requires me to download the maps on to a computer. (Not a tablet or phone, lets not forget this car is 5 whole years old!! )
I then have to use a 16gb usb drive to transfer the data to my car.
Is there some weird, I don't know, partition or script or some such computer-ness that I don't understand, that prevents me from using my phone and means I have to go effing buy a USB as despite owning several I don' t have one with me in the UK
Can I Use my phone like and old school usb storage device

Why not just try it? It'll work or it won't, and it might even tell you why if it doesn't work.

Depends on the make, Honda / Garmin are sods, it has to be a USB drive, it has to be 16gb, it has to be FAT32, virgins must be sacrificed
