Jack Miller
He’s racing the final round of the ASBK season same as he did last year, I haven’t watched this season like I usually do but I’ll make a point of watching this.

Re: Jack Miller
Jack was 11th fastest after free practise 1, he’s having to get used to the bike just like he did last year. He’s not allowed to run the same ECU as the other guys due to MotoGP testing rules but the stabdsrd V4R electronics are competent enough.

Re: Jack Miller
Once again though it does highlight to me just how fast the other guys are.. the guys no-one knows in the local series. Sure Miller isn't a championship winner in GPs but you can bet your arse he's bloody quick. But today, he's not #1 in the Aussie series, despite the fact you'd think, "surely he must destroy them all"..
It seems to take time, practice etc... Not just being stupid fast on a bike.
I think he'll end up getting closer, maybe a top 3....
I must admit, the bike looks stunning.

Re: Jack Miller
Yeah he was top 3 last year iirc, leading then fell back slightly. The top guys in ASBK are quick.
He went down in FP3

Re: Jack Miller
I just read that he had planned on testing the bike last week but couldn’t due to other commitments so it’s the first time riding the bike.

Re: Jack Miller
It's supposed to be being streamed live, and free, on the ASBK site https://www.asbk.com.au/live-stream/ but it's not clear if that's for Australia only.

Re: Jack Miller
The standard electronics won't be helping him, give him some more practice time and same ecu and he'll beat them. No domestic SB series is WSB level never mind motogp level. Doesn't mean it isn't good entertainment though

Re: Jack Miller
I see Billy McConnell is there as well on a Yamaha...... after a full season on a Honda on different electronics not surprised he down the field a bit.
Both given time will climb the order once they get used to the changes.
Eurosport used to show some of the Aussie events but cant find anything listed at the moment

It was great to see my hero in the flesh.
Best was Scarborough where he whipped everyone.

Re: Jack Miller
It shows the massive differences between series. Electronics/no electronics, different tyres with different feel. All that before you get to the bike itself.
No matter how good you are, time is needed to dial in.
It sort of underlines how good Max Biaggi was, going from a championship contender in Motogp, then winning in WSBK.
Fair play to Miller,he has everything to lose with boys lining up to knock him down a peg or two.

But he hasn't got a big ego. Other lads just see him having fun.Skub wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 11:49 am It shows the massive differences between series. Electronics/no electronics, different tyres with different feel. All that before you get to the bike itself.

Re: Jack Miller
Even at that,I'd bet there's none who don't want to say they beat Jack Miller in a race. He has a big target on his back. Not every ego could deal with that,so it's good to see him playing regardless.
