Honda 750 Transalp
As predicted after all the 'spy' shots it's a mini Africa Twin

It looks okay, not exciting, just okay, if you want an okay bike then it's the bike for you

In fact with 90hp this bike may be more exciting than I need, but I am still interested.
Keen to see a price for it.

Re: Honda 750 Transalp
I guess it will be about £8K, it's the Nissan Qashqai of motorcycles, much like the original Transalp

Re: Honda 750 Transalp
I'm not an ADV bike lover, but that Transalp looks to be gimmick-free (unusual for Honda), has a significantly lower kerb weight and more powerful engine than the competing Suzuki, and has generous amounts of wheel travel (200mm R, 190mm F). I reckon they'll fly off the shelves.

Surely the Nissan Qashqai is the Honda Transalp of cars?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 2:16 pm I guess it will be about £8K, it's the Nissan Qashqai of motorcycles, much like the original Transalp

Re: Honda 750 Transalp
You’ve just described pretty much every Japanese bike this side of a litre sportsbike, least they’ve gone for an engine with a bit of character and not an IL4.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 1:05 pm It looks okay, not exciting, just okay, if you want an okay bike then it's the bike for you

It's definitely getting harder to find bike's we really like.

At the risk of retro-heresy I actually prefer it in the black and grey colourways.

The white one actually looks a lot better in real world lighting; well, it does in the Youtube videos of it.
I think Honda have nailed the design for this style of bike compared to most of the other bike makers, the exception being Yamaha and their Tenere range.

Re: Honda 750 Transalp
Forgot to add I quite like it, I can have fun with 90hp on the road and also throw in a few gentle green lanes. Half the people that won’t buy this as it’s not powerful enough never get near half throttle on their 200hp bikes
Re: Honda 750 Transalp
Don't really agree with that, Paul...... having slimmed down my fleet from six bikes to three this summer I am very happy with the two modern bikes I have in the garage, although I'll admit that the Niken GT and 890R are not to everyone's taste.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 6:07 pm It's definitely getting harder to find bike's we really like.
However, for me, they cover pretty much all the bases and, if I want to go back in time, I can get my arse into gear and get the Mille back on the road.

Re: Honda 750 Transalp
I like the retro look of it & I'm interested if it's somewhere around 8K.
No doubt 90HP isn't enough for some people, but in the real world,it's enough for me & my licence.
Plenty of other bikes out there if you're looking for more performance.
It's a few years since I last visited a bike shop to buy a bike & the last time a Honda caught my imagination was when the original Blade came out over 30 years ago
I'll be booking a demo ride in spring

Re: Honda 750 Transalp
I'd rather have the 1100 African Twin. Mainly because I like the sidelight signature.
