Is this like how french ducks go "Coin Coin" instead of "Quack Quack"?

Brown seat ….. tick

Big space where battery should be….. tick

Just needs some bar end mirrors 😉

Not really sure about that one tbh, some bits I like and it does flow well from front to back

I'm a definitely maybe on this. A lot of it I like, especially the metalwork and the overall 'flow', but the cyan paint and lack of airbox and carb filtration (and the ensuing gaping hole where that and the battery and oil tank would have gone) I'm not keen on. Because so many of the original components have been retained, it does look overall rather 'skinny', which also is part of its charm I guess. That swingarm looks spindly, as well.

Really not sure about this...

Well now....I dunno.

It'll grab the rider some attention for sure,if that's what blows your skirt up.

I'm with just about everyone else on this thread I think, it's all a bit of a ridiculous thing, and just naff- from what I can see from the pics, there are no PV cables on it- if so, I guess that's for aesthetic reasons and the valves will have just been fixed open, I suppose that fits with the going back in time theme...

And " nearly 80 HP" my arse- I'll eat Weeksy's stinky pants if it is within 20 of that on any sensible dyno.... :D

One thing I actually like is that as theyve made a feature out of the sight tube for the oil tank I assume that no bellend has disabled the oil pump. Thats a good start.
The panels and whatnot have taken a lot of skill to make.

Erm..., I still hate it though.

Further down it says 70, which is achievable, but the rings will last about 200 miles and the crank 1000 if you get that much power as the engine will be like a late TZ350 engine with reed valves, and it would also be doing more like 11000 rpm not the 9000 they claim.

It's running pre mix, there's no oil pipes or throttle cable to the oil pump, the tank is probably the radiator expansion tank

I missed the premix bit.
Well, it's started off bad and gone downhill since then. Premix is a pain in the fucking arse on anything you use on the road. I know that for a fact.

Here's what 60-70 bhp looks and sounds like.

Those figures are easily achievable but as has been said, in that state of tune, much of the engine is a consumable.

My first one did about 135mph with a Stephens stage 2 time and Lomas pipes, it did 120 when I got it with Allspeeds, 125 with the Stephens time, the Lomas pipes made a big difference, but it made sod all power below 8000rpm.

It needed regular ring replacements, and the crank didn't last long.

My current one languishes in the garage suffering from my apathy towards it.

FTFY

I'm not a fan of banana swingarms and UDs on these bikes, they look a lot better as standard or pretty near to standard - like most bikes to be fair.
LOL, yeah I hear you but I wanted the Cagiva bodywork and there's nothing except the engine itself to suggest it was once a YPVS.

On the other hand, the original YPVS has to be the ugliest redesign I have ever seen. 1980's shellsuit, blocky and square, just horrible. Some of the best examples I have seen for "specials" is when they transplant the engine back into an LC!
