Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
seems a bit on the wet side of things. The planners do seem at times to put races at times when it's likely to ride... Which often confuses me.

Lots of whispering yesterday. I reckon if Fab had dropped to 4th, they have told Bastianini to take 2nd.

Enjoyed all 3 of the races. Good to see Jake on the podium again and what about McPhee? Brilliant last lap. ALso I hadn't realised how much shit was going on with his team. Seems he was out there inspite of them!

Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
With 2 laps to go i wasn't expecting anything more than 5th... It was an epic overtake to go into the lead for sure.
I'm still not aware as i don't watch anything other than the race... tell us more.

His crew chief was the same dude who slapped about Tom Booth Amos.
He's recently been sacked.

Yep and pretty much ignored McPhee's feedback and all requests for changes to the bike.Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 11:43 amHis crew chief was the same dude who slapped about Tom Booth Amos.

I think more will come out after Valencia

Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
It's odd they hadn't had them before now. Also strange that Zarco clearly backed out of challenging Pecco a few races back and yet the man who's going to be in the factory team next year openly risks Ducati not winning its first title in forever. Wouldn't be the best of starts to your new team if he'd have pushed Pecco into crashing.

Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
Which is why Pecco wanted Jack to continue as his team mate. But Ducati chose The Beast as Pecco's teammate knowing full well how ambitious he is. It would have been a dreadfully dull race if Enea hadn't kept Pecco honest most of the way through. Nobody died and nobody crashed (apart from Jorge Martin), so no harm done.Supermofo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 4:12 pmIt's odd they hadn't had them before now. Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
Yeah definitely made it exciting which is great for us. Don't think Gigi shared my excitement though
Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
It was hinted that McPhee had requested different set up to prior to when he broke his back, earlier in the season as he was struggling to adapt to it,he was aledgidly told by the crew chief no , change your riding style, plus he had 5 brake failures over weekend and according to Michael laverty( his manager I think)that he was seconds from packing up and going home on Saturday night as he felt so demoralised.G.P wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 12:37 pmYep and pretty much ignored McPhee's feedback and all requests for changes to the bike.

The emotion in McPhee eyes and voice in the post interviews was evident and actually quite touching as you could feel/ see the relief of some sort of vindication, and that only him his girlfriend (wife)? and a Small number of close friends were the only ones who stood by him and believed in him- definitely changed my opinion ( at the moment he has no ride next year)
As said above I think quite a bit more will come out , would be nice to see him get a decent moto 2 ride ,but unlikely ,more like world super sport which is a shame as he is far better than that .
