Sammy Miller's is open for business again on Saturday 4th and on Sunday 5th there is an Italian ride in day.
I've been to a couple before and they always attract some really interesting Italian bikes.

Anyone want to meet up? there's about 4 or 5 of us going down from Wiltshire.

You've got to do it once before you die otherwise you go down to the Harley department not up to the MVs.

Last time I went was when we lived in Tooting, which was about 25 years ago, I'll go again but not this weekend, as it'll be my first weekend of not working in ages (though that'll probably change and I'll be at work again on Sunday)

I'd like to go, what with me having an Italian momocycle and everything, but google says it's four hours each way... most of which is on the M1.

Its always a good day, Sammy usually gets a couple of old priceless bikes out of the museum and runs them round the enclosure.

Damn, if I'd known I'd have gone just to help them out. Obviously if they were relying purely on Italian bikes, very few, if any would have actually made it, so I'd have gone on the KTM just so they had at least one bike parked outside. Sorry Sammy. Hope it wasn't too embarrassing.
I will try harder next year.

Great to see the boys down there, even if i was in the car, arguably I could have waited another hour and taken the bike, but taking a direct route it's A34, M3, M27 and you're pretty much there, along with a fair amount of traffic i wouldn't have really enjoyed it any more on the bike, so in the end i was in the car with music and cruise control.

It was quieter than i expected, i'd guess maybe 100 - 120 bikes roughly, with some proper exotica like some Ducati MH900e's, the trio of 900 Superlights and a trio of Jotas. Nothing really jumped out at me as 'oooooh i'd buy one of them tomorrow' though, partly because i don't have the money and partly because there were just not the right types/styles of bikes for me. If i were pushed it'd be something like the Ducati 350 bevel/scrambler, but i'm not sure i'd ride it, but it's a lovely little thing.

Tanks and seat unit would be good for Cuuchy's race bike!

There were all sorts of non Italian bikes in the public area, this little 14 plate 125 Honda -some H1500 Kawasakis, a GT550 Suzuki, etc etc
