This is my XSR900, there are many like it, but his one is mine. My XSR00 is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

Bonus points for spotting the landmark.

It's stock, and more of a red colour. It also does a fantastic job of being a plank, jeez it's hard. The Yamaha "comfort" seat is an optional extra at £210 a pop. I'll live with stock until I find a solution I like.

Welcome rev667.

It's not right that your bike is your best friend and your life. That's just sad man.

I could understand this ideology better if it was a Kawasaki.

Maybe when you master the humble Yamaha you get to move on up and master a Kawasaki, thus mastering life itself?

Yeah,that'll be it. 8-)

Very Chinese fortune cookie.

You don't master a bike, you have a love affair with it. You find what it likes doing but always be on the lookout for what it does not like doing. It's a partnership.

You know it's a parody of a quote from Full Metal Jacket, right?

Replace XSR with 'Rifle'.

Emley Moor.

It's a transmitting station.
