Never heard of GTM before,I'd love to see some kind of documentary or series on these Japanese workshops.
When you read the build specification you realise just how much work goes into some of these bikes

Other than the colour and the rimming tape, I like it.

Very nice indeed.

When it first came out,the Z1R wasn't a popular bike with the buying public. After the smooth lines of the original Z1 and it's variants, the Z1R's blocky sharp lines divided opinion, but much like everything a bit different they become classics on down the line. It was one of those bikes whose styling perhaps a little ahead of it's time.

190kgs and 150bhp,I hope that frame is well stiffened. :silent:

I like it, very nicely done. I get that the colour is Nitron's 'in house' colour, but I hate it. A subdued burgundy or British Racing Green would improve it no end.

I don't like the seat, but I don't know why I don't like it.

Maybe because they tried to be crafty and make it look like the dual seat of the original, from a distance? It kinda solves the problem of a lot of restomod bikes. If you use a solo seat, the tail unit looks ridiculously long and if you instal a sharp, short modern unit,it sometimes jars.

I've just looked at pictures of standard Z1Rs, I don't like the seats on those either, in fact, I've discovered I'm not a fan of the looks of the Z1R, I prefer the Z1000 mk2 and the Z1000J.

Weirdly, I like the looks of the Z500, which has Z1R based styling

Side panels look like they're from a GS not a Z1R.
Needs triangular panels imo.
If I were going to build a restomod, apart from the colour it would be pretty similar!

I love that.

And that colour is the same as the old Leyton House/March F1 cars. It's lovely
