Armoy road races.
Just caught up with this on bikes Iplayer. Fantastic racing and some great airborne skills from Davey Todd. Reckon he'll be pushing for the top step at next year's internationals.

Just watched it, and Davey Todd was in a class of one. Visibly quicker than the rest.

He’s going well in BSB on the stocker.
He’s been good for years, just gradually getting better and better as time has went on.

Re: Armoy road races.
One day I want to do a 'tour' of a load of the Irish road racing. The NW200 was my first ever and then I went to the TT the same year (sadly, got trackside just as they closed the road due to the David Jeffries crash - at least I saw him race at the NW200)
Maybe in a couple of years I'll make it

The number of road races is now sadly depleted. Time was we were at a race almost every weekend, but problems with residents/road closing and funding have seen most of the old classics disappear and those remaining such as the UGP often in a precarious position.Noggin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 7:48 am One day I want to do a 'tour' of a load of the Irish road racing. It's really sad. I wish I'd known more about it years ago and been able to make the trips over before now. But I'll see what I can get to. Never made it to the UGP, so that's definitely one I want to go to if it's around next year (if I can make it over then!!)Skub wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:20 amThe number of road races is now sadly depleted. Re: Armoy road races.
A lot of folk got pissed off with paying an admission fee, they were happy enough to buy a program, but being charged to stand in some farmer's to shite strewn field was too much. Plus a lot of riders got fed up of bankrupting themselves to race whilst the "names" were handed thousands just to turn up.Skub wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:20 amThe number of road races is now sadly depleted.
