Got a old I pad but fed up with it now as it's so slow it's about as much use as a choclate teapot. So thought I'd treat here to a new one - non Apple and have narrowed it down to a Lenovo Tab M10 plus @ £200. Don't really want to spend any more as it just for internet shopping / Tesco's ordering etc.

Currys show them ''In Stock'' but they ain't... the 1 ''In Stock'' is the display one and I have to order it. So before I do - am I on the right path ? What do you lot say ?

Did look at a Chromebook - which seem better value and better spec - but we have 2 laptops already in the house.

I just bought. Last week two Lenovo Tab 11's. They can be had for under £250 new on ebay. Having that larger screen makes a difference. It comes with Android 10 but as soon as you register your google account it wants to upgrade to 11. Streaming is flawless. It has four speaker what sound good. If you look at the RAM you can get 4 and 6GB versions. If on a tight budget the 4GB can be £30 cheaper.

I don't mind going cheap but too cheap usually means the design is old which leads to a poor experience such as low storage, slow processor and limited updates. The Lenovo Tab M10 plus is sold with Android 9 and as Android 10 came out nearly 3 years ago this tablet is ancient.

It might work well for you but I suspect it will quickly get irritatingly slow to use.

If you don't mind used items then elf.co.uk have been good when I've used them.

The 11's are up to 128mb storage. Reason i went slightly older was the 12" tablets are all still quite stupid money. My main usage is the odd internet and watch the football at the weekends when she wants the TV :D

A chromebook isn't a laptop it is just a pure internet connected device. I support 1000's of them and they are great, i have had about 15 fail out of the 5000ish i support in last 3 years which is pretty good as they are being used at least 5 hours a day my kids under the age of 12!

They are cheap too.

Lenovo do a good small chromebook that also flips as a tablet too that we have been getting free from the DFE, here ya go:

Think they are really good qaulity for the price.
