Wot's the bike?
Looks like a triple with a single sided swinger but nothing springs to mind for me. I'm probably wrong

Re: Wot's the bike?
Thanks... used to run a neighbour down as she was crossing the road to collect kids from school last Thursday leaving her critically injured. Witnesses say the tool riding it was pulling a wheelie. Police say he failed a drugs test.
You can imagine the response on the neighbourhood group.

Re: Wot's the bike?
Well, lets be fair for a second... we don't know it was his... we don't know it wasn't stolen from the above.
I don't really class him as one of 'us'

Re: Wot's the bike?
There was nothing in the police report to suggest the bike was stolen. They usually say straight out, even when the investigation is proceeding. They were just asking for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Re: Wot's the bike?
Must admit as much I can see people saying 'Oh those Bikers' the reality of it is the same as saying 'Oh those black people' or 'Men' or 'Women' or 'cyclists' any other spurious group.
I don't bear any responsibility for this tosspots actions in the same way I don't for a drunk driver taking out a bus queue. All we share is that we drive cars. You've only got to look in the politics section to see how different 'Bikers' can be.
Arseholes can ride bikes too is the reality. Can they negatively effect peoples opinions of other bikers including me? Yes, for sure. But not a heap I can do about it.

Re: Wot's the bike?
So don't you think he'll have biking mates? Mates who might have privately thought "he rides like a knob sometimes"? Mates who might actually have said "mate, you ride like a knob".
There's a chance he could be a loner with no biker mates at all. But generally speaking bikers club together. How many head up to the Ace or other biker meets? Half the reason is to watch the stunts. And the fact is I see riders in groups doing daft stunts all the time. They feed off each other. Just Sunday night someone came past me on the back wheel with half a dozen bikes behind him. Obviously on their way back into London from a nice ride-out in the country.

Re: Wot's the bike?
Absolutely. When I used to go to the Ace all the time when I lived in Wembley the Ace on Fri nights was pretty horrific for shit stunts and that was around 2003-2006. And nothings changed and me shaking my head about it won't make any difference. The Spin Doctor wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 5:20 pm So don't you think he'll have biking mates? Saying that the Ace was front page news back in the 60s for biker deaths and races etc and in 2022 it's still running.
The fact is that bloke and very possibly his mates will never be coming to you for a riding assessment cos it's not why they ride bikes. Same as all the shit cars I hear hooning it up and down the A10 every Fri night in the summer. From 1 roundabout to about 2 junctions up, again, and again, and again, and again...
I met some really nice people at the Ace, I also met some absolute tossers I'd happily never see again. And the same could be said of Krazy Horse or Finchingfield etc. Some people ride bikes mainly cos the danger, speed and shit stunts and to hell with everyone.

Re: Wot's the bike?
You should have gone to Chelsea Bridge in the 80s, shit, dangerous stunts were normal on a Friday night, followed by a ride to Heston at stupid speeds, where more shit stunts were done. Sundays at Boxhill were just as bad.

Re: Wot's the bike?
Been to both and I'd say the Ace is much worse, no room, constant Post Office lorries going to the depo, buses, cars, thousands of people standing in the road, pissed people and lots and lots of bad stunts feet from the onlookers. I've taken the first vid I come to but this is an average Fri at the Ace and its like this all summer. Sometimes you'll get mad polish dudes in knackered BMWs with no plates drifting inches away from the bikes too.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:04 pm You should have gone to Chelsea Bridge in the 80s, shit, dangerous stunts were normal on a Friday night, followed by a ride to Heston at stupid speeds, where more shit stunts were done. Actually this video at about 7 mins in. This shit goes on all the time, dicks everywhere in all directions. For hours

Re: Wot's the bike?
Seriously it's like that most Fridays. Occasionally the police turn up and it stops until the go and then straight back out. It must be hell if you live round the corner from itMrLongbeard wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 10:21 pmA couple of stingers and a JCB or 2 would soon sort that bunch of twats out.
