New to me LAverda Mirage Hooray. up at 4.40am  into an auto transit and drive to sheffield Picked up My son, and off to Lymington got there at about ten thirty am! have a poke round the bike scare the neighbours Its really loud! Rorty is perhaps a better word that 180 deg crank gives it an intimidating roar it has been restored a bout six years ago but is really useable..into the van with it, and back on the road a bit poorer but happier!

I get it home by around six this evening and put it into the new garage before it tips it down. apologies for the number of photos but Im dead chuffed with it, it has Jota pistons and cams and it was serviced yesterday with new carb floatbowl valves a balance and oil and air filters and a new set of plugs
very nice it is too, very responsive and did I say it was
LOUD! cue more gratuitius pics

Apologising for pics?

You must only apologise for no pics.

Lovely job, does it still have a carpal tunnel inducing clutch lever?

Mirage was a bit after Slater Brothers did the Jota more touring focussed but a real mile muncher in its day . still is but doesnt require 5star petrol or have quite as high a compression ratio

Happy new old bike day.

Speaking of loud, this modded Jota won loudest vehicle at the 2011 Auto Italia in Bristol, the guy must have been totally deaf

When I was a teenager 3X Motorcycles were Laverda dealers, as well as Ducati, Dr John Guzzi and all sorts of other exotica. Many a Saturday morning was spent wondering round the showroom, flicking prices tags and dreaming.
