I stand corrected. It looked like a multi-V with that width and I all I can remember of that era were thin single V belts.

I do remember be driven through south Manchester, Kingsway, in an white XK150S with 140 mph on the clock, legally. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end then Barbara Castle came along.

We had a family friend, a Jag dealer in Stockport who had it in for a service and he took me on a test run. It was allegedly a tuned motor.

It's great to see an all time classic being kept going, I think, today, they look better than an E-Type. A proper "British" sports car.

Reg Dearden, of Manx fame ran one.

I'd personally much rather than an Xk over an E-type. Keep the thread going as the project progresses please.

BIL DID THIS ON HIS OWN! Cahp whos car it is he keeps away from it as he tends to break stuff or mark it so no help beter than some help in his case! I'd love to get involved but hes very much a one man band.

ImageMore progress..Rear wing fitted.. obver a thousand quid and he still had to take a two inch strip out of it vertically it was far too long no sign of the cut after he welded it back together the other rear wing will need the same treatment. Also a new bootskin has been fitted to the ash frame again so skilfull the ines are great.

Image this will need an inch or so cutting out of it too
Image as this was originally a LHD car and has been altered to RHD a mod has had to be made of the steering column with a cut out added to the shaft to allow the carb to fit to the manifold
Image the only difference to the LHD version is that the engines were slightly offset from centre to allow for the column this cut away of the column is considered a better option. The Air filter is modded too. here come lots of the other ramdon pics I took today too
