Nothing it’s just the force of the tyre hitting the ground, same as when you’re hard on the gas whilst leant over they look like they’re collapsing, some tyre manufacturers have a stiffer carcass than others, stiffer sidewalls etc.

ALthough I have zero knowledge of whether anyone else lands the tyre that flat!!!

Reminds me of those pics you see of turbo 'Busas on the drag strip... putting the power down and the rear tyre in all kinds of shapes.

I remember reading up on drag cars years ago when I seen the rear tyres doing this, think they called it tyre shake.

Nico Rosberg at Suzuka about 5 years ago...not crashing or anything, just normal cornering!
