Forum not recognising me

I always tick the "Remember me" box, and for years that was fine. I logged in and stayed logged in for ever. Recently (last few months) that seems to have failed. I click in, and it may recognise me, or it may not. Sometimes I can be part-way through replying to a post and it suddenly decides I am an interloper and I must log in again. It seems to be happening more frequently of late too

Is it me? Or my puter/internet connection/service provider?

Any one else have this?

It's probably your web browser

Happened to me yesterday. Logged me out while replying to something (I was using my phone and the signal was iffy but that's not unusual). Seems OK again today.

Laptop, Windows 10, MS Edge.

Mostly ok, but drops out enough to be annoying.

I'm having the same issue at the moment, logs me out, especially when I close my laptop.

I typed out a reply to one of the threads and find it had kicked me out again? All a bit odd, using Chrome, never had the issue before.

I started to get things like that but it was immediately after installing an antivirus app. Didn't actually log me out but if I switched tab (Chrome) eg to copy a link and went back I'd lost everything I'd typed. Started to copy text before switching tabs so I could just paste it back in. It settled down again but I never did find out if it was the AV or just coincidence.

PS Check the 'keep me logged in' status - if you haven't already.

I hate to sound like 'that' but nothing has changed at all our end for a few months now, nothing in the slightest..

I haven't changed any settings but it's happened twice to me today, just forgot me and I had to log back in? Once was when I wrote out a reply, pressed submit and it had logged me out and so I had to log back in, the reply had disappeared? So I didn't bother typing it out again. Hasn't happened to me before, but it's bloody irritating more than anything else.

I did click the 'keep me logged in box' , so I know it's not that. Only posted it up after doing a search, finding the thread but there didn't seem to be a solution, just thought I'd ask?

I was gonna say that, but decided it wasn't funny 😉

I decided it was, but I've had a very dull day at work where I have to be offensively inoffensive

Tbh it sounds like server side session data not being consistent. If your ISP is switching the internal networking about, or something like that, it may cause this.
