I fancy a proper classic

Thinking 60s type of classic rather than more modern jap stuff!
For some reason a TR6 desert bike is appealing to me, but the prices aren't.
Any other options I haven't thought/heard of?

I fancy a T140 (or a TR7)
Not a proper 60's classic, but a cheaper 70's bike with left hand gear change that looks a bit 60ish if you get one with the American export model tank.
I also really like the look of the Norton Commando 850 fastback, but they're a bit more money.

Don't do it, any spare cash and spare time will go on it, and it still won't run quite right.

Having listened to TC all the way to Salzburg going on about his commando, I'll give them a miss!

What do you want to do: Rebuild, tinker, ride or polish?
What's your initial budget?
What's your available free time?

Also, what is your preference - Old Brit iron, Japanese, American or Italian?

Read Daz's thread and repent of your foolish desire.
