Re: You gotta fight
I think Captain Hindsight's ineffectiveness as opposition leader bothers me more than Govt gatherings tbh?

Re: You gotta fight
With such a terrible party , with a woeful leader, you would expect the opposition to step up - not try and compete ....

TBH I couldn't give a shit. I'm guessing these people were working in close proximity anyway, so having a few after-work drinks in the garden is hardly the crime of the century.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 2:25 pm For your right

Doesn't bother me.
However... I can see why it would bother people who weren't allowed to see dying relatives, etc..

Principal innit.
They were telling others they can't see friends, family and leaving people to die alone while they have a jolly time together.
It's a small but clear example of what's wrong with this country.

That's what happened to me when my stepmother was dying. However,it doesn't make me angry at politicians, I'm utterly indifferent to them.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 4:12 pm Doesn't bother me.

These people are directly responsible for compliance freefalling towards the end of the last lockdown. That's all there is to say about that. If there's another lockdown, there will be a price to pay.

'Don't do as I do, do as I say' has never been much of a mantra for credible leadership.
Seems to be the default though.

I care that a prime minister lied in the House of Commons yeah. But too many don’t and as they have a natural desire to be led they don’t care.
I honestly think anyone who votes Tory now is a twat.

I thought that in UK politics these days, all you have to do is apologise.
That seems to make everything OK.

Or deny it through the medium of lying. Or brush it off saying it doesn't really matter. Or just point at Diane Abbott's shoes.
So many were so vocal about 'getting it done' and are too arrogant to admit they made a major mistake; so have to double down on that bad decision.

It’s more the PM lying in Parliament that bothers me, if he didn’t know he was wrong he’s in the wrong jobKungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 4:12 pm Doesn't bother me.

However those that voted in a man who has been sacked from all his jobs will still defend him

Re: You gotta fight
I voted for Brexit. After much politicking from the likes of May Johnson did "get it done" and (imo) later events, fortuitous perhaps, have proved Brexit to be the right decision. However, Johnson has since been a liar and ducker and diver, and should go. To be replaced by who exactly? Certainly not by Captain Hindsight Starmer and his gang of knee taking gender bending biology deniers. There's the rub.Asian Boss wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 6:25 pmOr deny it through the medium of lying. Or brush it off saying it doesn't really matter. Or just point at Diane Abbott's shoes.

Re: You gotta fight
Claiming that the rules were so easy to follow then not following them, then lying like a cheap watch about it and then putting pressure on anyone who pulled em up on it seems pretty damn dishonest to me.
I can handle politicians being dishonest but not when theyre so fucking shit at it. It's just stupid.

Truth was one of the many things Brexited away. Time and again Johnson has evidenced he can do whatever he wants and lie when confronted.demographic wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 7:46 pm Claiming that the rules were so easy to follow then not following them, then lying like a cheap watch about it and then putting pressure on anyone who pulled em up on it seems pretty damn dishonest to me.
