Trying to buy a new chain and getting confused. They are classed by the number of gears. (Mine is 27). But also by chain length which seems more appropriate.

The only place we have here is Decathlon, so these are the choices...

Yours is 9, not 27.... 27 is just the multiples.

116 is standard(ish) but would be too long anyway, so either way, you'll want a link or 2 off.

116/118 are for bikes with really long gearing, i doubt yours would need it.

But a removal tool and it's less than 5 mins to swap. Or drop into your local friendly shop and it's again 5 mins work.
