Only watched enough to see that the 600 pilot is the better rider. A good rider on a litre bike will always beat a good rider on 600 bike.

Don't be ridiculous, haven't you seen everyone in WSB using 600s when they could use 1000s?

I freely admit I'm not good enough to use a 1000 anywhere near it's limits, I might be able to ride a 600 to it's limits, but I'm not convinced of that, a 400 I can definitely use all the power, all 60bhp.

Good find, enjoyed that

It got me quite excited- could be me on my green bike at Cartagena in a couple of weeks time with the 1000 boys - well, in my dreams, it can, anyway :P

Maybe I'll fit a camera and see if I can recreate something similar ( and hopefully not embarrass myself too much in the process  )

I have never raced but from watching on TV and spectating at numerous Irish road races, on most of the tight circuits there is not a lot of difference between the 600's and 1000's - very occasionally a rider will compete in the 1000 on a 600 but I have never seen a win on one. The 1000's are definitely quicker but only in the hands of those nutters  . On the more open circuits, NW200, IOM - no contest the 1000's are quicker.

the video isn't just about which rider is quickest.

It's about how you ride different types of bikes to get the best out of them.

My boredom threshold didn't last long enough to find out.
