At a guess, the tank has been raised (compared to original), aligning the lower edge with the line of the seat unit. On the original, the tank lower edge is horizontal (and no daylight) and there is a step up where tank and seat unit meet.

They may also have increased ride height at the back, further giving that canted forward effect.
Even bland can be a type of character

As well as to get the skinny seat to line up, it's presumably to give it a purposeful look - bikes that are canted forward look like they're ready to spring.

EDIT - looking at it again, it might also be raised at the front. If that's so the designer might have been trying to expose the curve of the frame too.

I still find it all a bit pointless.

The angle of the tank/seat looks to be a little exaggerated due to the stand holding the rear wheel.

It might look a bit better were it stood on its own two wheels.

Edit: Or then again it might not. ;)

Is no one going to mention the Frisbee that's been zip tied to the rear wheel?

I don't hate that as much as I probably should...... in a minimalist kind of way. I'd take even more off of it. Plenty of room to store handbags, tissues, maybe even a picnic set and it would be an easy bike to clean. If women designed bikes.........

Don't particularly like it, don't particularly hate it. It just somehow seems, um...irrelevant? If the owner likes it, fine.

Don't really get why you'd go to all that bother with fancy new kit built round an old asthmatic engine.

I prefer the old k100s done in that style.

Like this (but without the stupid tyres, obvs :) )

It looks nicer on the starboard side, the single sided swinger on the port makes the rear wheel look detached from the rest of the machine.

I don't like the frisbee on the rear wheel and I can't make up my mind on the seat.

Taint bad tho. I like the colour.

I dont mind that, at least it looks like you could actually ride it without a major chiropractor visit afterwards like many other builds.

As others have said the frisbee is horrible and the seat isnt the best but overall one of the better ones
