There was a great photo that summed up the series - about 6 bikes trying to get around the same corner, all leaning on each other.

It was uphill all the way.

That was the year I was proddy racing on my RD350 while working at the Ministry of Defence.

I do remember Barry Sheene trying to commentate live on one particular race. The BBC had obviously told him not to swear.

He literally couldn't say anything!
