Only the Italians
Could make a tacho that goes up to 10,000rpm that doesn't have a redline... for a bike with a 7.5k rev limit.

Re: Only the Italians
Is there no indication of the redline being reached? No separate light maybe? Or even the background illumination changing colour?
Ok, so maybe the last one is a tad fanciful.

Eye Tie Style.
All that nasty looking red section spoils the aesthetics.

Re: Only the Italians
The Multistrada come with extenders to put on the front mudguard and over the rear wheel to stop crud being thrown up. They come in bubble wrap and you have to fit them yourself. The guy who owns the Ducati dealership locally asked the factory why they came separate.
The reply was <shit Italian accent> "They servea da purpose but they looka sheet"

Re: Only the Italians
On my Guzzi it might well have been the neutral light coming on at particular revs. It certainly came on went you put it into first and off when back into neutral. Learned to do it more by feel and never to just let go of the clutch!
Even bland can be a type of character

Blimey, ive had bikes without a rev counter at all.
How rad.is that?
It's a guzzi. You wont be able to hold on/focus above 5k anyway

Re: Only the Italians
Only had 1 bike with no rev counter, my KTM 625 SMC and I hated it. It was a single so you'd think you'd know when to change up but it vibed like mad all the time and rev'd fairly high for a single so it was still hard.

Re: Only the Italians
My Bullet EFI doesn't have a tacho, I was worried at first, but you just kind of change gear when it feels right, hard to explain. I don't think I've ever hit the limiter on it.

I've never bothered looking at rev counters. Just know when to change gear.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 10:46 amMy Bullet EFI doesn't have a tacho, I was worried at first, but you just kind of change gear when it feels right, hard to explain. I don't think I've ever hit the limiter on it.
On this GSXR it's barely legible when revving at standstill. No use at all when in motion.
