It's just an orange sticker kit on the regular 890 Duke as far as I can see, and now very orange but better for it- I like it

Part of me is a little disappointed that the track pack and tech pack seem to be extra.

Apart from that and the fact it has added cornering ABS it's just an 890R in new clothes I think. However they're very pretty new clothes and I think it's the best looking bike I've seen in a long long time.

At 169kg it's also amazingly light in bike terms and 115bhp is right in the sweet spot.

Could be the best bike of the last 20 years imo

Very nice, especially when you imagine it without the snow plow on the back.

It's not stupid money and as you say 169kg & 115bhp are sweet sounding numbers, so apart from the transformer looks that all new bikes seem to aspire to, I'd be up for that.

I is disappoint, no brown seat, no appalling tyres, no shitty dash (oh wait) but there is a hint of a gap in the frame. Exhaust looks like a failed spanny.

When did a 900 cc / 114 hp machine become a 'middleweight'?

I've never really 'got' KTMs... they always seem to look fussy and busy.

It does look quite long, but I think that may be due to the numberplate hanger and the way the headlight is set so far forward. Steeper head angle looks like it wouldn't go amiss. That said I'm sure the techs at KTM know more about it than I do !

115hp is respectable, the 06-12 plate 990 Superdukes came with 118 IIRC
