It's too faux 1960s looking for me, which is massively hypocritical of me, because if any of the Japanese manufacturers made a bike that looked as 1980s as that looks 1960s I'd be buying a new bike.

Not tried that model, but I had a go on the original 'new' Thruxton when it came out first. Bars were way too low for comfort.

It looks quite muscular and purposeful. It reminds me a bit of the 595 that a mates pal was riding when 3 of us went to Le Mans. That was fun to ride for 10 minutes.

Is the OP the standard bike?
Apparently the 1200 Speed Twin is great - Nidge has got one I think?
EDIT: This one. Very similar to the Thruxton underneath I think, but actually rideable.

I like it. But then I really enjoyed owning my older Thruxton. Those Triumph twins make a great soundtrack to ride along to...

That plate looks close to KNOB DOG,which given the bike is dog dick red is quite fitting.

I do kinda like the Thruxton and the Speed Twin....in fact I really like the look of the Thruxton, but I know it'd kill all of my joints
I love the V7 Guzzi's too.Thing is though, I've (nominally at least
) got some actual 60's bikes in the garage. Buying an RE or a Thruxton or whatever would make me one of those old boys who thinks bike styling peaked in 1971.-

Even as a 17 year old I didn't like clip-ons and high pegs. I actually converted my Honda CB-1 to renthals. I think it's cause I've got a really out of proportion torso/leg ratio
I find my CBR600 borderline, anything more than that is an effort. I couldn't ride my 996 for more than about an hour without serious discomfort.
The Bonnie actually has proper low clip-ons and high pegs, I would get rid of them but everything else about that bike is already a ballache so they can stay.
