That's an awful lot of money, there was a 0 miles one at the Stafford show in 2019 for £28,000, I seriously considered buying it, but I thought it was too much money as I wouldn't be buying it as an investment, I doubt if that one will sell at that price.
I also think a 2000 onwards GSXR750 is a better bike.

IIRC weren't they £24k when new... which was a lot of money back in 1999.
I also seem to remember that back in the late 90's no one wanted RC45's and you could buy a brand new one for less than £9k, which was the price of a new R1 at the time.

The R7 was the height of unobtainable unobtainableness for me when I was first into bikes. For me it was way more desirable than anything else, probably cause it was such a narrow niche. It's not the suped up version of some existing model. There is the 20 grand R7 or there is nothing. You can't get the cooking version of it because it doesn't exist.
Obviously in reality its related to lots of other Yamaha stuff, but its uniqueness is what made it special for me.
