Is back on after missing a couple of years.

Race organisers have confirmed that the North West 200 international road races will return to the calendar in 2022 after a two-year absence.

The event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The race week will take place from 8 to14 May, with fonaCAB and Nicholl Oils renewing their title sponsorship.

Peter Hickman, Glenn Irwin, Dean Harrison and John McGuinness are among the riders who have already signalled their intention to compete at the race.

The 2022 North West meeting will be the first international road race to take place since action at all the world's leading events came to a halt with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.

The Isle of Man TT races will also return to the international road racing schedule this year, while there is speculation that the Ulster Grand Prix may be back on the roster in August.

That's fab news.... I may not be the biggest road racing fan but it's a good watch and a good piece of income for some riders :D

I bloody wish I could go!! It was the first road race I saw. Then went to the TT the same year.

I've got friends that are planning to go the Manx GP this year (can't remember what it's new name is!) but not sure the dates work - although it might fit in before the TD at Pembrey. Maybe!!

Nw200 is an ace watch on TV. I've never been but hopefully I'll get there sooner rather than later.

Was it the last time they raced JM had his accident.? or maybe that was earlier. 🤷🏻‍♂️

No prices yet, but I'll send it to HID as a suggestion for a trip in the LMH.

The date of the 2022 Assembly Election is May 9th with Sinn Fein expected to get the top job. If this happens I can see all sorts of shit kicking off.

Mostly caused by it pissing down with rain. Dundrod is a bloody awful place to hold a road race.
