This current GSXR1000 has always been so near, yet so far. Lots of little changes have given me big improvements.
But this arrived yesterday and properly made a difference.

Suzuki made some great steps with this new generation, but so many retro steps. Anyway, it's almost there.

You've screwed an old tractor tyre to your bike ? Is that in case you flip it ?

Didn't buy them but got these from my Bro for my birthday
https://www.lextekproducts.com/LVRST261 ... +DUKE/2015

I think they look pretty good as they arrived this morning. Not ever changed levers before so hoping it's fairly straightforward. Did a quick youtube search and looks like most I've got to look out for is losing plungers for switches etc.

Do you need any lock tight on the bolts?

Brand new unused FZ750 rear brake caliper, hose, master cylinder and resovoir, complete with 1985 brake fluid, bought from Dennis Trollope Racing for a very reasonable Β£60, taken off a brand new bike in 1985 and sat on a shelf since, the FZ it came off became a race bike. My FZ now has 35 year old brand new rear brake pads.

DTR provide the Dunlop control tyres for Desmo Due racing, he personally dropped some off at my house (in Barnsley) because he was passing!

Nice bloke.

An LED headlight bulb, proper pushing the boat out, me.
Just got to junk the regulator rectifier, the lighting coil and the charging side of the wiring loom now.
Well, might just disconnect the charging side off and leave them where they are, just in case.

The Lextek levers were wrong and they don't have the right ones in black.

So I've got myself a Tutoro chain oiler. Been putting this off for year as not sure how to mount it nicely, but I'll have to find a way now

In a pretty complicated way I bought a new exhaustπŸ˜€.
I was never totally happy with how the akra pipe on my hyper sounded with or without baffle. The full Termi system comes with the remap and an uprated airbox lid which apparantly makes the bike what it should be, problem being it’s Β£2k plus fitting.
I managed to find an almost identical bike to mine, same mileage, year etc but it had the full termi so I bought thatπŸ‘
I then had 2 hypers yayπŸ˜€ I could then compare the good and bad points, also make sure the new one was as good as the original one.
Anyway the new pipe makes a great difference, a little more power and torque it the main thing is the sound is perfect and it has also nearly eliminated the lean running at 3-5k rpm.
So now I’m happy I’ve managed to sell my original one so back to one hyper nowπŸ˜€

Looks much better with the termi. I like Akra exhausts, but it doesn't sit right on that bike.

An imaginative method to buy an exhaust for sure!

Absolutely, that Termi is awesome and really fits the flow of the bike. It's the weirdest process ever for buying an exhaust that's for sure ... and that's coming from me !!!! But looks way way better.

Finally made my mind up and ordered a seat for my 900SS trackbike build.
After discarding the Super mono bodywork idea (it didn't look right on an SS frame, its being kept for a monster / st style frame build at some point) I went for race fairing in standard 900ss shape but wanted a shorter bum stop seat so have ordered a Pantah race seat. I might trim the sides slightly but will wait until do a dry fit of it all before paint.
Oh, and I may need to reshape the rear or the frame which has already had a big chunk taken out! :D :D

I did actually think you myself I’ve stepped into Weeksy WorldπŸ˜‚
The aim was to get a full termi for a lot less than 2k. It has cost me about Β£500 all in and I’ve also gained a carbon hugger so was worth the hassleπŸ‘

It's not uncommon (probably the most common issue actually) on Superduke GT's for the exhaust flap servo to fail. When it does the bike shows a warning (MTC/TC error), puts the engine light on, goes into limp mode with no cruise control or quickshifter. This error can also be caused by other more expensive things but I needed to eliminate the servo as mine went out of warranty just before they did the Covid extension

I fitted it in a couple of mins as I didn't bother removing all the now obsolete gubbins - I may do but I'll have to knock up a bracket for the rear brake reservoir.

Turning the ignition on cleared the limp mode but the engine light remained on. I went for a test ride and I knew KTM's can need 3 cycles to clear codes so I stopped for 5 mins of a couple of occasions. It cleared after my last stop so the problem is now resolved.

Not the most exciting purchase I've ever made but Β£36 to solve a limp mode problem was good enough to make my day. :D

Grabbed a Frame for Panniers off an ebay Auction for the Ducati Monster. Decided I'll use it rather than the Triumph Tiger for next European trip.
Also got some hard to find 900SS fuel tank support blocks - will use them for mounting the Pantah seat I've just got for the trackbike - oh, and a Pantah seat for the track bike!
