Your £1500 Xmas bike

Post by weeksy »

You can pick from whatever media, site, auction you like.

You've got £1500 that's your lot.

What are you buying?

I'd go for a Storm too, but cos you've already taken it, I'll have this...

I'm sure they'd let it go for £1500 if you had cash in the hand.

I picked 2 out this morning whilst having breakfast. The CBR I reckon would be 1500, might be pushing it for the 9 though. Might have to give him a reach around :o

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203736283981

I'd rather the 9 though

There's a much better choice of cheap shitters on Gumtree.

I guess if you've got a <£1500 bike to sell, why would you pay ebay for the privilege when you can stick in on gumtree for nowt.

I don't need any more £1500 bikes in my life, we all know I can easily find another shitty FZ750 for that price.

I'd go for fifteen hundred quids worth of the The Umbrella thread takes the prize. I will call Iccy a 'toolygoon' on there shortly.

I had one. Water in coils issue was most common but look past its uglyness and i think it was a very underrated bike. Would i buy another??????

A tidy looking Thundercat.

And as it’s on Gumtree I could offer to swap it for a PlayStation.

If someone was giving me £1500 to spend on a motorbike I'd be looking at either a Transalp or this.

As with most bargain shitters I'm sure I'd end up spending near enough the purchase price sorting it out :wtf:

Always liked this vintage of SV. Would be a nice little project I think. When I own a garage I'll definitley be buying something like this.

As bikes to ride, you really can't go far wrong with an SV.

Not really looking for a £1500 bike, as I have 2 in my garage atm. One I bought on a whim from @rodbargee earlier this year, a ZZR1100 C2 and a Mille R which I have owned for nearly 20 years and has seen sterling service on many trackdays, with scars to evidence my excess of enthusiasm over ability.
Both should really be moved on but, as both @Tricky and @weeksy will attest, it is more than likely that both will be with me in 12 months time. Tomorrow never comes for me.
The Aprilia has a great attachment, the Kawasaki not. It was just an itch I wanted to scratch .... or thought I did.
So, £1500 bikes?
Not for me thanks....

Prices have went crazy but if I could get either a 5eb R6 or C model 9r I’d happily spend £1500 on them.

I have found memories of my 5eb that I bought brand new in 1999. I started looking for another, but a little researched showed that they are all totally fucked, turns out that early motor was prone to cracking liners.
