Workbench upgrade
Workbench upgrade
Getting lazy so upgraded my workbench I made a few years ago by adding an electric winch. Lifts the behemoth of a Burgman 650 with ease

Re: Workbench upgrade
Thank you it just becomes part of the floor when down. The lifting eye drops down into a small section of pipe so it's not above the floor. The bench is made from old roller shutter door guides and 16mm Road pins.

Re: Workbench upgrade
Was so hoping to see a shower of fluorescent tube glass as it reached its zenith
I take it there are locking pins to keep it up safe.
Used to work at a garage and the quad ramps were similar to that, when the cable goes 'BANG' you'll know about it

Re: Workbench upgrade
It has a drop leg that drops over 16mm pins as the bench goes up as I had a 5.5mm swr part on me before. I upgraded the SWR to 8mm downside is the safety leg only works as it goes up. I stand well back when coming down but the pulley on the lifting eye reduces the load a lot which I previously didn't have..
I have different support legs so I can have the bench at various heights.
