I know you lot love giving people a bit of advice/stick/abuse/criticism.
So i noticed yesterday something that’s only just become apparent as to why to me. At times when sitting at home i have random bruising on the inside of my thighs…. Usually on the right hand leg…
But when i was out practicing yesterday i noticed it’s where the saddle sits on my thighs on some corners. Now this implies to me that i’m too far back when out of the saddle and need to get my weight further forward so the saddle is missing me ?
But thought i’d sling it up here so you could give me feedback too
Riding position, something became apparent yesterday to me…. go on… analyse

Advice from someone of known of incompetence.....
riding dirt bikes in my youth, the advice was 'grip the tank with your knees', and it took me quite a long time riding MTB to realise that I was doing the same on that and massively restricting the bike moving and sometimes made me crash, so I stopped doing that.
I was out riding with my mate a few weeks ago, and noticed that when he's descending, his knees are sticking right out allowing the bike to move underneath him, and his bike was bouncing off all of the rocks and stuff, and his upper body was barely moving. So I've been working on freeing up the bike underneath me to try and make that happen.

Jedi told me off for gripping the saddle with my thighs. I also got told off for hanging my weight out the back, mass centralisation is key.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."
