Trackday leathers
What's the feeling on 1 or 2 piece for trackdays ???
2 piece being more practical off track, but does a 1 piece give you anything extra on track. Confidence, feel, protection, etc..

Re: Trackday leathers
Always gone 1 piece but that's a comfort thing for me as I feel all the middle bits are a bit more restrictive where they don't bend as much.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 6:30 pm What's the feeling on 1 or 2 piece for trackdays ???

If you're only going to use them on track, 1pc every time.
Anecdotally, I had a mate come off on the road wearing a 2pc Dainese leather suit, where they were zipped together it sliced his belly open. I'm sure it was a freak accident, but it wouldn't have happened with a 1pc suit.

I crashed in Dainese 2 piece a few times. Fast. No problems.
On a warm day just zip the jacket off.
Much easier to put the trousers and jacket on separately.

I've got a set of Richa 1 Piece leathers, grey / silver that would fit you. Really good nick. Yours for the price of a decent bottle of gin

Might even have a ride down that way in the new year. Not working at the moment.

1-pc all day long. Ergonomically designed for when you’re in the tucked in position, not ideal off the bike but that’s not what they’re designed for.
I’ve had various leathers over the years and had a few that were very restrictive when off the bike almost hunching me over but on the bike, they were fantastic.

Re: Trackday leathers
I've got both, 2 piece are more convenient, 1 piece are slightly more comfortable in the bike. If you don't crash, you don't need to worry about crash protection.

I had the zip moved an inch upwards on the waist giving me a bit more body room.

Re: Trackday leathers
I bought one piece when I could justify the cost and they feel more comfortable and I guess they're safer. I wouldn't hesitate to use two piece though and the convenience when it's hot is way better.

I have some Hideout 1 piece. They are very warm. Last time I wore them it was 39 Degrees at Brands Hatch
