Nostalgia……..

Post by wull »

Of late I’ve turned into a proper fat bastard, many years ago, well 6 years or so ago I was obsessed with cycling, was super fit and weighed 11st…….too scared to weigh myself now.

I’d love to get back into cycling, I have a few frames sitting needing built up, I stripped them down selling various parts etc. I wonder if I’ve been reluctant to get back into it because I’ll be piss poor compared to where I was, i suppose I’d see the progress again.

Maybe one day, I need to do something that’s for sure.

I’ve still got this frame, I’ve also got the Felt AR3 frame that I turned into a TT bike.

it takes time, patience and of course effort.

@Crosshair has shown time and time again you can get back, he takes 18 months off and then after 3-4 months is right up to pace again.. It's pretty remarkable to see.

I don't do the drop bar thing, but the feeling of whizzing round with the wind, the sun and just silence.... it's fabulous.

Mine is never silent as there's trail noise... but it's the same ball-game.

The odds are, you'll get back to the speed/training .... but you have to want it.

I don’t think I’d ever get as into as I was before, don’t think I’d want to. I was too obsessed with it and set goals which were for me unobtainable, I kept falling ill as well which is why I think I’ve ended up putting all this weight back on. For me, I was doing far too much and didn’t listen to anyway would tell me so.
