Re: Absolute Wankel
Never had a rotary in a bike but they're incredible engines in cars... so smooth and revvy, great fun to drive, especially on track. However, having had 4 rotary engined cars and having paid for 3 rebuilds that itch for me is well and truly scratched (for now). I couldn't, in good conscience, recommend one but on the other hand, they're awesome. Anyone that moans about the lack of torque is missing the point and should have probably bought a 3-series with 'phat' pipes
This was a 190 rx8 picked up for £500 and then stripped out, tein suspension and a ported 230 engine installed. Was a massive amount of fun until it blew up...
This was an SSC Stylus kit car with an rx7 single turbo engine that made about 400bhp and weighed about 800Kg. When it worked it was the fastest, most exhilarating thing I have ever owned...
I do miss those cars but not the cost/time
