small table to raise tool chest off the floor

Post by formula400 »

so i got my tool chest, before I fill it, id like it to be off the floor, I don't fancy having to bend down to the floor to get to the bottom draw.

so has anyone else done this, small table??? some wood??? I am thinking a height of 450mm, and needs to be able to hold the weight off it all.

Chest dimensions (W x D x H): 667mm x 449mm x 326mm

cheers

How about putting the table on castor wheels, easier to move around?

Excuse to get a roll cab. Or would that make it too tall?

MDF box, make it large enough to stand a can of chain lube inside, back panel for strength and on wheels, as the horse suggests.

Once upon a time I had the roll cab thingy to put the main box on top of. Bloody brilliant thing. Mine had less drawers and more space, so I could keep more chunky stuff like oils, sprays etc in there. The fact that it had wheels wasn't really a 'thing' for me as I didn't move it. But could be handy. The extra 'sensible' storage was brill though :D :D When I have a garage again, that's that aim so that I know where everything is and it has its place :D

Totally - but if I just have the tools in one place (not even 'their' place) I'd be happy!! LOL
