Free standing boxing trainer ?
I'm currently thinking about 'something' to enable me to train more than just my legs really.
For example today after a weekend of pedalling uphill all day (and down) on Sat and then a tonne of walking the same on Sunday, my legs, calves specifically are completely fried. I'll need another 3-4 days off i think.
However i still want to do 'something'
I've got a kettle bell but think it would be useful to add something like one of these.
This model gets good reviews and feedback as well as good backup and is only £100.
My issue at the moment is where i'd put it.. i've got space for it, but not unless i can move it out of the way again afterwards. It comes in at 176lb filled with sand or 136lb filled with water, i reckon i could move it with it filled with water... it's only 3' i need to move it, not like it's a mile...
Thoughts, or indeed better options ?
Can't wall mount one as my layout in the garage wouldn't allow for it, or at least wouldn't allow me to be able to do it how i'd need to.

Re: Free standing boxing trainer ?
Looks to me like you need quite a big space dedicated to it, maybe at least 6ft around it to give you space.
Have you done boxing / martial arts type stuff before? Are you familiar with the exercises?

Get an axe and some logs, there's something really good about turning logs into firewood, obviously it's something you'll need to do in the garden.

Sell it to hipsters for their wood burning stoves, or to all the pizza oven types on here.weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 8:58 amlol and then do what with the wood ?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 8:56 am Get an axe and some logs, there's something really good about turning logs into firewood, obviously it's something you'll need to do in the garden.
You could probably also get away with singing the lumberjack song from Monty Python, you could live the life style if you're really keen.

Only in boxercise classes and fannying about hitting the bag in the gym, i wasn't thinking of going bonkers with kicks etc, just more a cardio type jab/cross/combination to get the HR up but without destroying my legs.

Just cycle at endurance pace
Will help you recover from the hard days and boost your aerobic fitness whilst still being specific to the fun stuff.
Zone out to an ebook or a film and just keep it easy enough to still hold a conversation.

Don't always have the mentality for that, plus arguably due to being a desk nerd, I could do with doing other things than just cycling for my overall strength and fitness

Offer to dig the gardens for some elderly neighbours, you'll get exercise and feel good about yourself.

We ended up with pads and gloves, so we're in there later this afternoon beating eachother up.
