MCN : Fit for a king: MV Agusta release special edition Superveloce Ago
https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new ... eloce-ago/
MV Agusta have unveiled a special edition Superveloce Ago retro sportsbike to honour the racing successes of ex-factory racer Giacomo Agostini.
Ago won 15 world championships across his career, as well as 311 individual grand prix victories. This isn’t the first time MV have celebrated Ago’s wins, having previously released the F4 Ago and F3 Ago
To celebrate such a special man you need a special bike, so MV have taken the Superveloce and added some very fancy components. For a start the suspension is now top level Öhlins: with fully adjustable 43mm MIX forks up front and a TTX36 shock at the rear.
The forks also now sit in forged aluminium triple clamps with a CNCed alloy steering damper mount.
The sexiest change though is the bodywork, which is now all handcrafted carbon fibre. Look closely and you’ll see the tight weave sneaking through the number one on the sidepanels but that’s not the only piece of the black stuff.
Front to back MV have used carbon fibre to make the mudguard support, side fairing, mudguard, tail unit, underseat cover, chainguard and swingarm protector.
For the full classic look each bike also comes with a racing kit, which features a homologated three into one asymmetric Arrow exhaust.
MV are making 311 of the special edition Agos. Each one will come with a numbered carbon fibre plate on the tank strap with the first 15 models dedicated to the world titles, which will no doubt live long lives in collectors’ garages.
UK pricing and availability of the Ago is to be confirmed although if you have to ask…

Screen is to low to do any good.
I like it otherwise.

It's lost the band of fairing that goes over the screen.
It's a design feature that I thought was quite cool (and everyone else hated).

It's another dogs-dinner of curves and sharp edges.

Horrific. The headlight looks like a kitchen ceiling light.

There are bits I like and bits I don't.
As a whole I'm not fussed.
I wonder if Ago liked it.
