Not about the GS 1250 just the colour.

When I ordered it I just left it default colour which is to be honest a pretty uninspiring grey and white with grey wheels.

I’ve been thinking ever since that I really would have preferred the triple black. In for a penny in for a pound and all that.

So today I took a trip up to the dealership and tried to change it. Only to find it’s scheduled for build in the next week or so and they were locked out of the system.

The salesman’s tried to call his contact at the factory but he was on holiday so I left it with him.

I just got an email with an order for another bike and they will take the original one into stock and sell it off the showroom floor.

That’s the kind of service you appreciate.

It's the service I'd expect if you're dropping those numbers on a bike.

Let's see the 2 colour options.

Yep.

Call me a sad bugger but my 1200 was a very similar colour and I used to go out to the shed just to look at it.

I just don’t think the grey/white would have had me doing that.

Thats pretty much the opinion i was about to voice as well...... For that amount of dollar i would expect a colour change before build date as no biggie

And yes, you were right to change it

The build was scheduled for early Nov and presumably the option to change is closed when it goes into the system proper over there. He could amend it on his system but as soon as he tried to confirm the change he got a no no.

Gotta give it to the salesman, he got on the phone to BMW in Germany and spoke fluent German. However his contact for getting things done was on holiday till the 1st which would definitely been too late.

He then approached his boss and they agreed to take it into stock and just order me a new one.
