2022 trackday plans?

What you got then?

I think I'll be a bit limited next year due to MTB stuff, so may only be a Pembrey.

I can see @Welsh Muffin having 3-4 at Silverstone and likely a Donny and a Brands thrown in there too.

I can't see there being a Euro trip for us as we'd hoped, just isn't really a budget for it.

I'm hoping to do the track on Gran Canaria in February.
If that goes OK, we're off to Portimao in March. Hopefully.

I'd like to do a track day, but I don't fancy it on the GSXR11 or the KRS or the Bullet.

Looks like the wife it getting a nice diesel car (I can't fit a tow bar to the SL), so who knows if a trailer and a cheap track tool is in my future.

A few at Knockers and hopefully one down south but just depends on funds and the whether the bike plays ball or not.

I may give it a rest next year, over the last two years the majority of track days I've done have been full of idiots falling off and causing a lot of stoppages, and I've really enjoyed riding on the road this year.

Just sold my dedicated track bike, but I have got a 1983 YPVS 350 that started life as a production race bike, so I suspect I'll get talked into riding it at Cadwell next year, and possibly race it at Oliver's Mount.

What he said but with a bigger dose of hope.

Reality - I'm waiting for a date for RTTL Pembrey :banana-dance:

Depending on how the winter and finances go, I plan to do a TD in the spring, somewhere!

Everything else track related depends on how that goes!! Track riding will put different pressures on my arm/shoulder, so realistically, it might not cope. And I won't do track if there is any doubt or distraction about/from that area!!

If I get the summer job I'm hoping for, I'll aim to do the RTTL TD but also want to find some tracks over here to try (I know there are a couple of folks locally that do some :D )

Ideally I want to go to Portimao or Cartagena (probably Cartagena as it'll take me aaaages to do a lap of Portimao on the Monster!!) - but is suspect shoulder fitness and finances will say no. If it's possible on both counts, I'll have a go :D

I'm going to try and do as many as I can at Bedford (closest regularly available track except for Combe). I want to be able to get to the point where I'm happy to move to inters (modest goals). I've just bought a twin trailer so also plan to take the 1190adv and the 950sm so see what they're like on track if they pass the noise test.

If I can get a couple of days at Pembrey that would be very cool too.

I'd like to do Snetterton and Oulton this year if possible too.

Obviously the RTTL weekend at Pembrey assuming it goes ahead next year. I will admit that riding down last year i did have a brief "Can i be bothered making this trip again" but once there i got back into things and loved it again

Snetterton doesnt appeal to me despite it being just down the road so Cadwell is one i might consider to try something else

I've raced or trackdayed at most of UK circuits and imho Cadwell is the best.

I have ridden round most during race weekends ...... normally wearing a set of Orange overalls on way to post and Cadwell was one i wished i could have tried faster. I managed about 3 laps of Brands GP with in and out of pitlane before Dave Stewart clocked me on the cameras and told me to stop fucking about

It's another year where we don't know the answer yet and neither does @Alan PBTD however if he runs a summer date, we will be there. But that depends on many factors their side so I'm not saying yes.

I'd happily do a 2 dayer at Cadwell but @Welsh Muffin needs some convincing Von the place so it'll be a tough sell.

How's about Anglesey as it's an adventure? Sure it's a hike but by the beach/coast and apparently ace fun.

Only downside is that I think it's No Limits or Whitham only. Which probably counts it out on both.

I love Anglesey (not quite as much as Cadwell), but on my four visits it's been glorious sunshine and 20c plus.

I can imagine it's not so nice if the weather doesn't play ball.

I think the only track I've ridden I didn't like much was Donington, but the day was run poorly and there were some real twats on track that day, so I might like it if I try it now.

But Cadwell is the same distance for me, I know I like it a lot and it's cheaper, so why bother with Donington?

I might do some Run What Ya Brung days next year, not sure if this counts as track days, but it is cheap, fun motorsport.

Donington is ok, but I much (much) prefer the national layout to the GP circuit. It flows much better without the loop.

The day I did was with the Melbourne loop, and it was the Shittest bit of the track, but a lot of my problem was that I was on a fast bike (SRAD 750) which I'd not ridden on track before and didn't have a clue where the racing line was, especially down Craner and also into Coppice, and it was damp. Just generally a crap day.

Snetterton is more fun than it looks. I loved going there.

Cadwell will bite yer bollocks off :obscene-birdiedoublered: :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Never considered that, but thinking about it could be great fun.

Depending on what bike I have I hope to maybe do an evening session or 2 at Snetterton if they still do evenings?
