Sam Lowes retained by Marc VDS in Moto 2
I know he has his critics but appears the team are happy with his performances as he has been resigned for the 2022 season.
Overall in the last 2 years he has been at the sharp end and in the top 3 or 4 of championship each season. Everybody around him has moved to MotoGP which appears a closed door to him at the moment after his Aprilia debacle so signing for one of the best Moto2 teams is the best he could get.
Now if only he could stay on the bugger a bit more

Re: Sam Lowes retained by Marc VDS in Moto 2
that's his main issue... staying on it... Clearly he's bloody fast, like really really fast. But throwing away 16 points here, 20 points there.. it means he's not going to win a world title.
His biggest problem is likely to come from one or 2 Moto3 racers coming up as i think his main rivals in Moto2 are likely to move ?

He's like McPhee, pushes too hard and crashes, he needs to relax and realize you only need to be in 1st place at the end of the last lap.

The old saying of,"you can teach a fast rider not to crash, but you can't teach a slow rider to be fast",appears to have it's exception where Sam Lowes is concerned.
I think McPhee suffers more from shitty luck, rather than pushing his luck.
I thought for a while SL had it sussed, then the crashing resumes. I hope he can put a winning season together next year,he deserves it just for his 'never give up' attitude.

Gardner, Raul Fernandez and Bezzechi are all moving up so he will have the likes of Acosta to deal with and his team mate moving away to the Ajo KTM all conquering team.
Will be interesting to see how those coming up cope with the change as some struggle with it

Him and his brother know the wages in Moto2 and WSB.
If WSB paid a lot more, I wonder if he'd go there?
