Re: What bike...
Apparently he owns (amongst others) a Ecosse Titanium Series XX, which looks a bit like that one.
Well the swingarm looks the same...

Re: What bike...
It's an Ecosse Titanium of some sort. He's probably specced the wavy disc and the zorst himself so he doesn't see someone on the same thing (at £195,000 that's probably only likely in Wallyhood).

Re: What bike...
When your Ecosse Titanium is too mainstream, you send it to RSD...

So...it's basically a double-pimped Harley for £200k+?KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 9:19 pm When your Ecosse Titanium is too mainstream, you send it to RSD...

Oh well, if you've got the money and that's what you want.....

Re: What bike...
While 'researching' I discovered that he also owns an Enfield 500 Classic... which is almost a Bullet.
So I'm basically a younger, better looking Brad Pitt.

Re: What bike...
If I had a spare 200k ( like so much that 200k was nothing) would I spend it on a bike? Would I?
I really don't know.
I honestly think I'd still tinker with fairly crap stuff, in an attempt to make it better.

Re: What bike...
I know the answer to that for myself for sure.
I'd spend multiple £10k but can't see me even thinking about £100k on a bike unless doing as a collection.

Re: What bike...
It's probably one of those situations where you look at the massive pile of cash, look at how old you are, how many ailments you have, how many friends suddenly died - and you think fvck it why not.?
And Brad probably likes looking at himself in the mirror and spending cash rather than laying in a pool of oil under a bike in a one car garage on an estate.

Ol Brad gets tens of millions to do a film though, so if you're sitting on an 8 figure bank balance spending 200k on a bike is like you or I buying a £1k snotter.

Ah well, call me a dewy-eyed dreamer but, I hope, I really hope that if, in this life or another, I had so much that £200k was spare change, I'd try and do some good with it instead of spaffing it on a 2 wheeled, titanium framed cod-piece.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 9:15 am Ol Brad gets tens of millions to do a film though, so if you're sitting on an 8 figure bank balance spending 200k on a bike is like you or I buying a £1k snotter.

Better than letting it sit in your bank accruing interest though. You want these rich people to spunk their cash.Count Steer wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 12:39 pmAh well, call me a dewy-eyed dreamer but, I hope, I really hope that if, in this life or another, I had so much that £200k was spare change, I'd try and do some good with it instead of spaffing it on a 2 wheeled, titanium framed cod-piece.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 9:15 am Ol Brad gets tens of millions to do a film though, so if you're sitting on an 8 figure bank balance spending 200k on a bike is like you or I buying a £1k snotter.

Re: What bike...
I'd buy a Vincent and a Brough as my daily runarounds, just because I could. And they aren't difficult to maintain (from what I read).
Not that keen on giving to the poor. I give to heart and cancer research as any breakthrough will benefit everyone, rich or poor, wherever they are.

Re: What bike...
BTW if I were in the position I would spend £200k. I honestly don't think I enjoy the actual tinkering very much...really not sure. I reckon if I had the means I'd much rather tell other people to go away and actually make the stuff I've come up with. Making sparks and smelling fumes isn't really my thing all that much I don't reckon.
