Would you do a cheeky 4/5 day bike trip on your Jack Jones?

I usually drag my kid along to Italy in the October half term for a quick blat around whatever part of the country we find ourselves in. This year, for various reasons, she may not be able to go. Just wondering if I should go it alone. Missus can't come as we can't leave the kid to go feral for a week, although she seems happy for me to go on the basis that she would get to have a go on the telly remote control and not have to clear up after me, apparently.
So, would ya do a Billy No-Mates week or so away? I'm warming to the idea, although, even though I am fucking brilliant company, even I might bore of myself after a day or two....
Edit- subject amended after much urine extraction.

Most of my trips to the big island are by myself for a good chunk of them. I'll be hooning about the Helensburgh area for the next two weeks. In a 4.5 tonne luton bodied van. You've been warned.
tl;dr. Yes.

That my territory.
Mrs.Skub hasn't been a pillion since the late 80s and a fair few of my old cohorts are gone to another dimension,so I'm used to being a lone wolf.
My current situation with an elderly father means I can't be away too far or too long, but I sure as hell plan to when life allows.
It's a different way of going,so well worth a try to see if it's cool for you.

Are these 4/5 bikes hired or owned? Currently I could do a 2 bike trip, maybe 3 if I bothered to fix one.
Or is it the size of bike? 4/5 size might be a bit small for me, depending on the bike it's based on.

What are you, a man or a munchkin?
Given the scale, the munchkin is looking likely...

Yes! If I don't do it, I crave it.
I can get up when I want, leave when I want, go as fast/slow as I want, stop when I want and change my mind as often as I like. The only downside is that there is noone to look after my gear when I go to the loo. I guess I don't party in the evenings on my own and wouldn't go into a pub on my own but I compensate with early nights and early starts.

No chance. I'm reasonably OK with my own company but Mrs Pillion would be kitted up and sat on the back before I'd even decided to get the bike out. She'd probably be there on a track day.
It's all good, I like riding with a good pillion passenger and she's v happy sat on the back (with no comms). Bit alarming when she nods off and gently clonks me on the back of the head under braking though.

I forked out on a good Sena 10R Bluetooth intercom kit for me and Gremlinette's helmet. Within 10 minutes of using it she switched it off as I was disturbing the biking holiday playlist she was listening to on her phone...

Have done, and would again. The great thing about bikers is the almost universal cameraderie. When you get lonely stop at at bike cafe.

You get a kind of buzz travelling on your own i reckon, whether that's biking or through airports. No need to compromise, be as selfish as you want. Also, easier to mix with strangers when solo.

It wasn't planned, but I did a 4/5 day trip down from NE Spain by myself a couple of months ago. Had a great time.

I often ride alone as my days off rarely coincide with friends who ride.
I long to repeat the Spain trips I used to go on every year with like minded friends but since changing careers, etc I lost touch.
If I must, I would consider a 3-4 day trip alone. I may ask for 2-3 months off unpaid next year if it’s authorised and covid life doesn’t come with constraints, I’ll plan to make up what I’ve been missing for last few years.

I think I'd like to do it - I have some friends in Cornwall I've not seen for a while .
Nice to ride with friends round town chatting on b/t on but I get a little tired with friends who should know better sticking it to the man at every opportunity.

Definitely solo as in I hate pillions (in fact I make a point of throwing pillion pegs over the hedge on my bikes)
Probably prefer solo touring as I like to get my own way. Loose arrangements with travel companions are easier as you can drop them if it goes sour.

I like to take the wife.
She pays for the petrol while I fill up, means I don't have to take my gloves off.

100% - I did the NC500 on my own. Felt a bit weird not seeing anyone, having no phone signal and being alone. I guess the weirdness was a mix of waryness and the feeling of total freedom.
I'm doing 520 miles tomorrow on my own if that counts

The closest I've come to a solo bike holiday were the trips to and from Monaco on the VFR.
Down in a hurry (<24hrs) and then back again (5 or 6 years later) at a much more relaxed pace and better roads.
I'd quite happily do a solo trip apart from I generally like a reason for travel rather than just tourism/escape.
I'll be getting my R1100RT back on the road in the Midlands in a few weeks time and have been thinking about turning it into a bit of a tour when bringing back home. I realise there's an awful lot of the N of England I haven't seen, other than the Lakes.
Hopefully the staycation campervan 'plague' will have subsided by then as well.
